Lawyer and a member of the Austrian Federal Government’s AI Advisory Board | Chair of Austrian Standards

Carina Zehetmaier is a lawyer, AI entrepreneur, keynote speaker, co-author of various specialist books and an award winner. Following her work in the field of human rights, during which she represented the European Union and Austria at the United Nations in Geneva, she founded her first AI company in 2019, as well as the Women in AI Austria network. Today, she is co-founder and managing director of Humably – the external AI office – a member of the Austrian Federal Government’s AI Advisory Board and the Lower Austria Provincial Government’s Advisory Board, co-author of the AI Act Handbook, and a lecturer at several universities. For her commitment to human-centred AI, she was awarded the Austrian Women’s Prize (Grete Rehor Prize) in 2024 and named ‘Personality of Digital Humanism’ in 2025. In 2026, she spoke at the United Nations’ AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva.
