Gordian Braun heads up the Growth division for EMEA at ElevenLabs, the world’s leading AI speech technology company with a valuation of US$11 billion. His journey to the forefront of voice AI development spans 17 years of hands-on business development: banking training, an MBA from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University, roles as a founder and investor – including as a founding investor in the email automation SaaS company Mailivery – and over three years as interim general manager for private equity-backed scale-ups, including at Groupe Mentor, a family-owned business with 2,400 employees across 15 countries. In 2020, he was accepted into Y Combinator’s W20 cohort – the same network that produced Airbnb, Dropbox and Stripe – with a global acceptance rate of 0.1 per cent. At ElevenLabs, Gordian brings the discipline of an operator to one of the most far-reaching shifts in the enterprise AI sector: the transition from voice as a feature to voice as infrastructure.
